Relaxing in the park.

Every summer our neighborhood association arrange bands to come play at our neighborhood park there is always food to buy or you can bring your own picnic dinner. our family loves going and hanging out with our neighbors and friends. I love to just lay in the grass and listen to the music and relax.

I also love the excuse to lay next to this guy and hold his hand.

We always bring Stony he love it he loves to watch all the other dogs in the park and the kids.

Concerts in the park is one of the perks that led us to build in this neighborhood.
I love seeing old friends and meeting new ones at these events. Last night I hung out with my friend Jenny and her cute girls and sister and her girls. I love that the girls love me and want to play with me and give me hugs and kisses. It makes me feel just a little special when I am around Jenny and her family.

Right before we left Dale took this funny picture of us. Dale is covering my face and Stony is covering Dales. I don't know why but it cracks me up.

Last day of school!

No more pencils no more books no more teachers dirty looks!
I would scream this every year after the bell would ring on the last day of school as a child who struggled in school I lived for summer breaks where I could run around hang out with my friends and not have to do any homework.

I am not sure who was more excited for this school year to be over with me or Ben.

Normally it's a battle to get Ben to school but today he ran to the car.

My other kids were excited for school to be over with too. This was a super long school year for some reason. Me and Ben both struggled. We vowed next school year will be better. Ben has already taken on the responsibility of requesting Spanish immersion. He went to the office picked up the paper work and brought it home for me to look over. When I was saying towards a no he went to his desk and wrote down the pros and cons then expressed to me why it was importation to him. I was impressed and proud if him for taking responsibility for his schooling. I gave in and said yes. He truly is a great kid!
So here's to a fun filled summer!

1 more day until school is out!

I am not going to lie this has been the hardest and longest school year for me.
I am so ready for it to be over. I think it's because It started out with me having health issues and went down hill from there . Almost every day is fight to get Ben to school I am just ready for the break.

This will be the first summer that I will be a working mom while my kids are home. I am trying to be organized and plan on having fun with them the days I am off.
Hopefully there will be lots of hiking, water fighting crafting and reading going on. I also plan on having the kids make dinner at least 3 times a week.
We also have Eliches passes so we plan on going there a lot and hopefully a few weeks in Breckenridge . I goal is just to have fun that's what's summers all about right? So here is to a good Wilderness Family summer!
